Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

The Save Pungcheon-ri website values and protects personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we retain it, and what rights users have.

1. Information We Collect

When joining the National Solidarity Petition

We collect your name or nickname (required), region of residence — province/city and county/district (required), affiliated organization or group (optional), email address (optional), and a message or suggestion (optional), together with your consent on whether your name may be published (required). If you provide an email address, we use it only to update you on campaign progress. Participants must confirm they are at least 14 years old.

Publication of the signer list

If you consent to publish your name, your name or nickname, your region of residence (province/city and county/district), the date you signed, and any message you left are shown in the signer list at the bottom of the /petition page, and your name or nickname also appears briefly in the recent-signature notice on the home page. Your email address, affiliation, and access information are never published. If you do not consent, your signature still counts toward the total signature count but will not appear in the list. Signatures received before August 28, 2026 (65 signatures) did not collect region information and are not included in the list, though they remain counted in the total.

Automatically collected information for abuse prevention

If you provide an email address, we check it for duplicate signatures. Separately, to limit repeated submissions from the same IP address within a short window (60 seconds), we hash your IP address and store only the hash — the original IP address is never stored.
